Obamacare 2027

Nov 1, 2026 – Jan 15, 2027

Health coverage for individuals, families and people who work for themselves.

  • Choose a plan by December 15 for a January 1 start. December 16–January 15 selections generally start February 1.
  • Compare doctors, hospitals, prescriptions, deductibles, copays and out-of-pocket limits.
Prepare for enrollment

Have identification, applicable immigration documents, estimated 2027 income, tax-household information, any employer coverage offer, and your doctor and medication list ready for your review.

ACA plans cover pre-existing conditions. If eligible for cost-sharing reductions, a Silver plan can lower deductibles and copays. Adult dental may require separate coverage.

Pay the first premium on time. Savings depend on eligibility; update income and household changes during the year. Starting with tax year 2026, all excess advance premium tax credit must be repaid when reconciled on Form 8962.

IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY UPDATE

Will your financial help change?

Changes effective January 1, 2027

Some people may lose their subsidy while remaining eligible to buy coverage at full price. Review your eligibility before renewal.

  • Among noncitizens, assistance is limited to lawful permanent residents, eligible Cuban/Haitian entrants and COFA migrants, if other requirements are met.
  • A work permit alone does not guarantee a subsidy. The exact immigration status matters.
Understand the cost difference

TPS, asylum or refugee status alone may no longer qualify someone for assistance. Cuban/Haitian entrant is a specific immigration category, not nationality alone. Income above 400% of the federal poverty level generally does not qualify for the premium tax credit.

Illustrative monthly example: a $700 premium minus a $650 subsidy leaves $50 to pay. Without the subsidy, the premium is $700. This is an example, not a quote or an average.

If eligible, compare full-price ACA plans and private medical coverage outside the Marketplace, which has no premium tax credit. Supplemental or limited-benefit products do not replace comprehensive health insurance.

MIAMI-DADE + BROWARD

Medicare 2027

Oct 15 – Dec 7, 2026

Review Medicare Advantage and Part D options for the coming year. Annual-enrollment changes generally take effect January 1, 2027.

  • Review your doctors, hospital, pharmacy, medications, copays and Annual Notice of Change.
  • Depending on the plan, compare dental, vision, hearing, prescriptions, OTC items and transportation benefits.
Plan your Medicare review

Have your Medicare card and Annual Notice of Change ready. Compare the plan’s network, covered prescriptions and out-of-pocket costs.

If you have Medicare and Medicaid, ask whether you qualify for a dual-eligible plan. If you are turning 65, review your initial enrollment period.

Benefits, costs and availability vary by plan, county and eligibility. OTC means over-the-counter items. You must continue paying the Part B premium when applicable. RH Insurance Group is not Medicare or a government agency. Review all options at Medicare.gov.

Information reviewed November 2, 2026. Eligibility and plan benefits require an individual review.
